POLICE are appealing for information following an incident in a Tavistock car park recently.

Someone set fire to a toilet tissue dispenser in the disabled public toilet in the Bedford Car Park at around 5.30am on August 28. The fire caused minimal damage, but police would like to speak to a lady of around 40 years old, with long dark hair.

Police said it could have been an accident but would like to speak to anyone who was around at the time, or anyone who could name the lady or would like the lady to come forward. Contact PC Pickles or PCSO Williams at Tavistock Police Station with any information, quoting crime ref JT/13/1154.

l VALUABLES were stolen from a vehicle parked in Quarry Car Park at Burrator Reservoir at around 5pm on Tuesday, August 27. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact police, quoting crime reference number JT/13/1150.

Tavistock PC Dave Pickles said this was about the fifth incident of this kind that has taken place on the western side of Dartmoor in the past two weeks.
