DESPITE unseasonable weather, the second annual Bridestowe Cricket Club car boot sale was a great success, raising more than £600 for club funds.
There was a good turnout of buyers and sellers, who enjoyed various stalls and activities as well as a wide range of refreshments.
The children enjoyed the pets? corner, with animals on show, including a donkey, pony, hawk and a barn owl.
Archery proved a hit with adults and children alike, with Graham Horn the top-scoring novice.
The draw and home-made cakes stalls were busy, contributing well to the final total.
Organisers thanked helpers and all who braved the showers to support the cricket team.
The money raised will be used to improve facilities and to provide additional equipment for the 30-strong members of the youth section.
