FIRE crews from Okehampton attended two vehicle fires on Monday night, one in Okehampton and one at Bratton Clovelly. An owner of a pick-up truck reported that his vehicle was on fire on the A3079 at Venn Down Gate, Bratton Clovelly, at 8.10pm. Firefighters extinguished the blaze using a hose reel and breathing apparatus. A crew used the same equipment to tackle a blaze in a car in Simmons Park, Okehampton just before midnight. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
