A GULWORTHY woman has launched a fresh appeal for the safe return of her ten-month-old border terrier which may have been spotted in the Okehampton area recently.

Sara Birt, from Gulworthy near Tavistock, said her nine-year-old son Harry was totally distraught after one of the family's two dogs, Taxi, went missing from their remote home on September 22.

Taxi is a ten-year old border terrier bitch, brindle with a distinctive white star on her chest.

Sara said she had put up posters with photographs of Taxi around the area and was contacted by one person in Okehampton who believes she may have seen the dog outside a supermarket in the town.
