MEMBERSHIP of Tavistock Camera Club grew last year and members enjoyed a varied programme of competitions, workshops and outings.
There were two workshops with expert Adrian Oakes, out on Dartmoor at two different locations on two different days — both involving members getting up well before the crack of dawn to enjoy the sunrise.
The Christmas dinner, held at the Mary Tavy Inn in December was a very sociable event with an excellent meal.
This year will continue in the same vein, the next event being a beginners' digital photography course, building on last year's successful course.
This will consist of five sessions, beginning on February 22, costing £25 which will include membership until the end of the season.
This course is especially designed for those who are new to photography and aims to show the basics of how to use a camera. The course will cover most types of cameras and individual help will be available.
The course will be held at the United Reformed Church in Russell Street and will start at 7.30pm.
