Duchy Division 2

Chillaton A 1

Camelford 2

CHILLATON's first team missed the chance of a possible third place with a dismal performance from all but a few playing against a side low in the division that expressed the desire to win.

The Yellows conceded on five minutes when they failed to clear a corner and could not get on level terms for a further 30 minutes, until Steve Daymond crossed for Danny O'Hare to score.

The second period saw Camelford hit the bar and continue to look dangerous.

Paul Doidge worked hard with Gerald Holmes in midfield and Daymond and Faulkner had chances to score, but Camelford's greater commitment and desire to win won the day and on 85 minutes they took a deserved lead from a goalmouth scramble.

Duchy Division 4

North Hill 1

Chillaton B 3

BOTH sides cancelled each other out in the first 20 minutes until John O'Hare played a lightweight hack pass to the Yellow's keeper, allowing the North Hill forward to capitalise on the error.

Chillaton pressed but the score was 1-0 at the break.

Two minutes into the second half Mark Jones pulled the scores level when he struck the ball into the roof of North Hill's net following a goalmouth scramble.

Paul Cowling made it two 15 minutes later, shooting low from the edge of the box through a crowd of players.

Plenty of open and direct play followed from both sides with Steve Lethbridge and Mark Jones putting in solid performances in Chillaton's defence in the last ten minutes.

Following pressure on North Hill's left the Yellows were awarded a corner from which for the second week running David Hannant scored direct to make the final result 3-1.
