Camborne School of Mines 17 Callington 10 CAMBORNE School of Mines played host at Penryn to Callington in this latest league fixture to involve both clubs. Callington again had a strong pack that held their own in the scrums and contested well in the line-outs but it was CSM who scored first with an early try. This did not dampen Callington?s spirit as full-back Wayne Wormald slipped a penalty over to open their scoreline. A second try by CSM extended their lead, but Callington were able to claw their way back with a try of their own through Ian Rooke, who, after an initial attempt at a field goal was averted through a charge down tapped the ball through and dropped on to it himself to get the much needed points. This was then converted by Wayne Wormald. In the second half the contention for the ball stepped up and both sides were looking to make a break on the points board. But it was the home team with another converted try that finally clinched it for them.
