BUDDING photographers from West Devon have only a short time left to submit their best outdoor snaps to support one of the area's vital emergency services.

The Dartmoor Rescue Group which conducts search and rescue operations across the region is to benefit from the production of a calendar featuring the country's most dramatic landscape scenes.

People now have until the end of the month to ensure that images of local beauty spots are part of the twelve featured in the calendar, which is being produced by the tyre company Goodyear.

Goodyear tyres, which has recently funded the roll out of GPS navigational equipment to mountain rescue teams across England and Wales, is producing the special 2010 calendar in order to increase awareness of the charity's work and raise funds.

Goodyear's Anna Stanley said: 'As experts in safety and innovation, Goodyear is committed to supporting life saving organisations in order to help them maintain their already high standards.

'We're therefore delighted to be able to support Mountain Rescue by creating this calendar to help raise additional funds for the charity and draw attention to the fantastic work they do.'
