EXTRA help will be on hand at the check-out at Somerfield in Okehampton this Easter weekend as volunteers are packing shoppers bags to raise money for the local Air Training Corps.
Six cadets in uniform will be packing bags at the check-out and some adult members will also be taking part.
The group hope shoppers will make a small donation for having their bags packed, with funds being split between 2443 squadron Air Training Corps and Somerfield?s own local charity of choice.
The bag-packing brigade will report for duty at Somerfield between 9am-1pm on Good Friday and Easter Saturday.
The Air Training Corps are hoping to raise their profile as well as funds, and encourage more recruits to come along and join the group.
The Air Training Corps meet next to the Army Cadets on Station Road on Monday and Wednesday from 6-9.30pm.
