THE sounds of bells, clashing sticks and traditional English music may be ringing through your ears during the summer as the Cogs and Wheels Ladies' Morris side have a busy programme lined up.
The side recently celebrated the arrival of May with their dawn dance at the Nine Maidens cairn circle, and will perform at the vintage rally and fayre near Ashburton on May 12, the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Simmons Park on June 4, Okehampton Show on August 9, Chagford Show on Thursday August 16, and Dartmoor Folk Festival, which runs from Friday August 10 to Sunday August 12.
The group was formed in 1995, taking the inspiration for its name from Finch Foundry, the rehearsal space for the group during its formative years. For more information, visit http://www.cogsandwheels.co.uk">www.cogsandwheels.co.uk
