THE Oxenham Arms and Restaurant in South Zeal is one of just a handful in the Dartmoor area to have been awarded the coveted AA Rosette Award for culinary excellence.

The award is achieved during a secret visit by an AA food inspector. Local sourcing, taste, chef skill, presentation, balance and flavour are assessed together with the overall dining experience.

The owners of the pub, run by Lyn and Simon Powell, can now put the award alongslde their AA 4 Star Gold Dinner award.
