Tavistock Country Bus is a charity, which runs a local bus service run by volunteers.

We pass through a number of villages, which are not well served by commercial bus services. Why not use Tavistock Country Bus to explore the local area and beyond?

Bus & Bike – Why not use our service to take you to the start of your cycling trip ? We have a bicycle carrier, which can take up to 3 cycles (prior booking at least 72hrs prior to the date of intended travel is required for this service).
Bus & Boots – There are a number of walking routes that have been specifically written to coordinate with our bus services. Providing an excellent way to transport you to the start of your walk and pick you up afterwards.

Have you now got more time and would like to help your local community ?Tavistock Country Bus drivers and administrative support staff are all volunteers and we are always looking for new people to join our team.As we operate under a Section 22 licence, & we do not have to hold PCV licences in order to drive our bus. Providing you have Class D1 on your driving licence, you are eligible to drive our bus.

A new team at Hart Care
Hart Care Residential Home is going from strength to strength with our new manager Sara Maynard who joined us back in February 2023. We now have a very strong deputy and a full team of carers & housekeepers which gives us great continuity and no longer having to use agency staff.
With a “Good” rating with C.Q.C. we are continuing to make improvements and are hoping for an “Outstanding” at our next inspection.
Following a challenging time during Covid we have made lots of improvements around the care home, so please feel free to give us a call and come and see for yourselves what we can offer for your family and friends during this difficult period when choosing a residential home for your loved ones.
We offer Respite, Residential, Dementia and end of life care.
