OKEHAMPTON continued their good form and took an early lead when a well-flighted free-kick from 35 yards from Dave Grimes was met by Tony Pickering to head into the back of the net.
Moments later, Ian Gill was fouled in the box and Jerome Whately obliged with the penalty.
In the second half, Okehampton's play got better and a sweeping move involving Gilbert, Pickering and Whately made it 3-0.
The goal of the game was yet to come — after continual pressure Budleigh cleared the ball away from their goal-line only for Robbie Sandercock to chest and volley it into the roof of the net.
Budleigh pushed forward, but Wilson, Grimes and Christian Jones were coping well.
A long ball from Pickering sent Robbie Sandercock on his travels and he neatly rounded the keeper to make it 5-0.
Okehampton started playing the ball with ease. James Callaghan fed Pickering whose shot rebounded off the keeper for Whately to tap in for his hat-trick.
The final goal was an own goal from a corner.
Okehampton continue to accumulate the points and are looking forward to the final games in their quest for promotion.
This week home to Crediton, meet 1.45pm.
