A NEW exhibition showcasing the rich variety of locally produced food from the Dartmoor area has gone on display at the High Moorland Visitor Centre at Princtown.
Dartmoor to your Table, organised by Dartmoor National Park Authority, contains colourful displays of some of the best produce that the moorland area has to offer and even how to enjoy that produce, using recipes provided by the producers themselves.
Visitors to the exhibition can also hear about the importance of local produce to Dartmoor people in the past, through a special Moor Memories listening post.
Contributors to the exhibition include Brownes Chocolates from Throwleigh, Dartmoor Happy Hogs from Whiddon Down, Dartmoor Beef and Lamb from Postbridge, Princetown Brewery and Wild Beef of Chagford.
Dartmoor on your Table runs until October 1, 2003. The High Moorland Visitor Centre is open seven days a week, 10am until 5pm.
