Tavistock Town U11s 4 Elm United 3 (AET) TAVISTOCK started brightly and soon took the lead through a well taken first time shot by Tugwell. This only spurred Elm forward and they were awarded a disputed equaliser when the ball seemed to bounce on the line. Both teams then proceeded to miss a host of chances. At the start of the second half, neat passing by Cole and Rowe sent Tugwell through who brilliantly flicked the ball over the advancing keeper. Barriball then made it 3-1 with a 25 yard free kick. Poor defending cost Tavistock as two late goals for Elm took the game into extra time. After another sweeping move down the right wing, Man of the Match McNamara prodded home from close range. There was late drama when Tavistock keeper, Carter, pushed over an Elm striker to give them a penalty. But Carter exonerated himself with a breathtaking save to ensure Tavistock went through to the next round.
