A TEENAGER from Bridestowe has taken part in a two day national young stars’ competition at Three Counties Showground in Malvern, Worcester.

Abi Marshall and friends Becky Walters and Emily Davis were assessed on working as a team, clipping and preparing calves, interviews, stock judging, setting up a promotion board, showing and more.

The girls competed against teams from across the country, and different sections beef, pigs, sheep auctioneering, butchering and dairy.

They won their section and first prize is an all expenses trip to the winter fair in Toronto, Canada in November. They will spend three days at the show where they take part for Great Britian and then go to Niagara Falls.
