DJM U16s Rodney Tavistock Town U16s 4 Efford Youth U16s 2 TAVISTOCK started in great spirit after a good warm up in a cold wind. Town were 1-0 up in the first five minutes from a great through ball from Alex Carter for Adam Dodd to nutmeg the keeper. The score stayed the same in the first half with some good football from both sides, but Tavistock had the upper edge with great communication between all players. In the second half Efford equalised and started to up their game. Tavistock?s defence worked hard with Nick Cribbet putting in great tackles, and Ben Pridham making two goal stopping tackles. Town?s second came from Jordan Davidson?s well delivered corner for Rob Bennet to head it in the back of the net. With the team on a winning run the boys were determined. David Corrales made another great run through the middle feeding Dodd for his brace and Tavistock looked set for the win but Efford came back with a great shot from distance to beat Doyle in goal to make it 3-2; Efford had another chance to equalise but it went over the bar. Again the defence worked hard. Reece Thompson played another solid game and both wingers working well with Adam Burridge?s hard work paying off after Dodd?s great pass for Burridge to hit it pass the keeper.
