THE Oxfam Bookshop in Tavistock is offering a whole programme of entertainment this Saturday, March 19 in support of the BBC's Comic Relief charity event.
The day kicks off with the well loved local duo 5.1, otherwise known as Jeff and Cheryl. 5.1 are well known for their annual performance in Bedford Square on Dickensian Evening along with many performances at Tavistock's Acoustic Cafe.
Mark Barnwell will then be playing his solo classical and flamenco guitar from noon. Mark is a professional guitarist who has played both solo and with other artists at numerous venues throughout the UK and across the globe.
At 2pm Gadjo Guitares are playing. Gadjo Guitares are Jon Fry and Tim Miller, who play instrumental acoustic guitar in a true 'melting pot' of styles. Their influences are from Flamenco, Latin American, gypsy jazz and classical Spanish guitar.
To end the day at 4pm will be Felicity Vernon, from local band The Cuckoo Collective.
A spokesperson for the shop said: 'This is going to be an amazing day of entertainment. Buy — and wear — your red noses, enjoy the music, support the charities and have some fun!'
