STAFF and pupils at Lady Modiford's School in Walkhampton creamed, beat and whipped up some tasty treats for a fundraising bake sale.

A variety of cakes were on sale in a bid to raise money to hold a fundraising café day next month.

The event raised £100 to put towards the café day, which it is hoped will raise enough money for the school to buy a polytunnel.

The café day will be held on October 19, with breakfast from 7.15am to 9.30am, morning coffee and cakes from 10.30am to 11.30am, afternoon tea and cakes from 2pm to 4pm, and a three-course Greek evening meal from 5.30pm with last orders at around 7pm.

Full English breakfasts will cost £4, Continental £2.50 and the evening meal will cost £10 per person, children £5.
