IT'S time to whip out the dancing shoes and get ready to boogie in the barn this weekend . . . On Saturday, June 28, Eastlake Riding Stables will be holding its annual party, the Boogie in the Barn. The party will be in memory of Charlotte Saunders who tragically fell from her pony and drowned seven years ago. Clare Hooper, from Eastlake Stables, said: 'Charlotte would've been 19 this year and is loved and missed so very much by all her family and close friends. 'Please come and support us. The money we hope to raise will be going towards a new footbridge at Fatherford to enable horse riders, disabled people, families with prams, walkers and the Okehampton College cross-country classes to cross the river more safely. 'The old bridge is very dated and is of little use to all these different groups.' The Boogie in the Barn promises to be an action-packed night with a band, disco, bar, bucking bronco, bungee run, burger van and raffle. The event will take place even if the weather is less than ideal as it will all be under cover. This year's party will be for over 18s only and proof of ID will be required for entry. The entry fee will be a £5 donation at the gate with the party starting at 8pm and running until late. For further information contact Clare on 01837 52513.
