A FANTASTIC sum of £3,000 was raised for local good causes at this year's Tavistock Charity Bonanza.
The event, now in its 20th year, was held at Tavistock Pannier Market and organised by Friends of Tavistock Area Support Services (TASS).
Tavistock mayor Cllr Mandy Govier, accompanied by her consort, Danny Honey, officially opened the event, which saw 13 local charities attend.
Bryan Podmore, of Friends of TASS, said: 'Thanks must go to the market reeve and his staff at the pannier market and the town hall for their helpful advice prior to the event, and to local businesses and publications for their help in advertising the bonanza.'
