THE body of a 30-year-old man was found in the reservoir at Burrator this week after an extensive search by Police and Dartmoor Search and Rescue Teams.

Police divers located the body in Burrator Reservoir at 11.20am on Wednesday. The 30-year-old man, who has not been named, was confirmed deceased at the scene.

The search started on Sunday after a bicycle, notes and some clothing were found at the reservoir belonging to a man from Plympton who had been missing since the previous Thursday and was deemed to be high risk and possibly suicidal.

The family of the missing man has been informed and formal ID has been carried out.

Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious and a file would be prepared for the coroner.
