THE countdown is on for the Dartmoor horse charity ride, which takes place this Sunday. Organised by Allen Lewis, commercial manager of Tavistock AFC and secretary of Tavistock Youth Café Plus, the 'Three Farmers, a Nurse and Me' ride has already successfully raised £1,000 for the Bob Champion Cancer Trust but Allen is hoping to raise a lot more for the charity. The event will see Allen, three farmers and a nurse ride 20 miles across the moors from Postbridge to Tavistock AFC. The ride will be followed by an auction of various goods including four paddock tickets to Exeter Racecourse, and a buffet at the Red and Black Club in Tavistock.
