A FOUR-month-old puppy has found a new home thanks to the Margaret Green Foundation Trust?s animal sanctuary near Tavistock. Bizzy a labrador /springer cross came over from Southern Ireland with his sister when they were just nine weeks old. They came over on August 16 with many other dogs, all in the hope of finding a new home. The dogs were met by four ladies at Bristol who then decided which of them would be going to MGFT?s sanctuary in Dorset and which would go to the sanctuary in Devon. Bizzy and his sister were taken to Wingletang sanctuary in Heathfield. And although Bizzy was full of mischief, he was adopted by Catherine Clarke, who works at Westmoor Vets in Tavistock. Catherine is part of the Tavistock branch of Dartmoor Search and Rescue team. In March 2006 she adopted Jilly, a springer spaniel cross from Wingletang, after she was found as a stray on the streets in Ireland. Catherine is now taking Bizzy to training sessions to teach him how to become sociable, and has told Bizzy that at the age of six months he will also be registered as a search and rescue dog.
