THERE'S an opportunity for bookworms to grab a bargain at a 'big book sale' being held in Postbridge next week.

The event, on Monday March 14, is being organised by Postbridge resident and civil engineering student Jonathan Martin.

Jonathan, currently studying at Warwick University, has been selected to be part of a team climbing Mount Kilimanjaro this summer, to raise funds for the Meningitis Research Foundation. The trek will take place in June.

The book sale will take place between 11am and 12.30pm at Postbridge Village Hall. Admission will be £1, to include coffee and home-made cake — all welcome.

Next month, Jonathan will be organising a quiz night at the Warren House Inn, to be followed by a table-top sale on Easter Monday.

All proceeds will be put towards the fundraising trip.
