THE final of the Pentathlon GB Schools Biathlon Championships was held at Crystal Palace, London.

Kelly College Swim Squad sent four girls and 12 boys, aged from 10 to 18, to this prestigious event. In the swim event, which was either 50m freestyle (years 5,6 and 7) or 100m freestyle. The Kelly pupils came back with one silver team medal, two bronze team medals and two fourth placed teams.

Their team of Year 8 boys, consisting of Harry Dunlop, Josh Boon and Jordan Channon, came fifth, eighth and seventh respectively in the 1k run and in the 100m freestyle swim they were 41st, 12th and 34th to win silver in the team event.

Year 5 team, Jonathan Hawley (10), Thomas Brew (10) and Jacob Staig (9) won bronze medal in the team event with all the boys acheiving personal bests.

Kelly Years 12 and 13 boys also won a bronze medal, with Cameron-Carpenter-Warren and all three swimming personal best times.

Year 6 boys of Benjamin Dunlop (12th overall), Nathan Linden and Mataeo Pearce were a commendable fourth at these national championships.

The four girls from Kelly College who qualified for the final were Ellen Riis White who competed in the Year 11 was 18th overall in the individual event while Georgia Jones, Christy Gold and Brittaney O'Reilly in Year 7 were fourth.
