EIGHT members of the Spooners and West Dartmoor Pony Club performed well at the South Devon Moorland tetrathlon competition at Bovey Tracey and Holwell Lawn last weekend.

Stuart Hoddinott came second in the junior boys? class. Alice Woolley came fourth in the junior girls? with a clear round in the 3ft high cross country riding phase with Mr Jeeves.

The three-strong team of Lizzie Kegan, Helen Hoddinott and Rachel Ware came second in the mini-minimus class. Lizzie had a clear round over the 1ft 6in cross country course on Camelot.

Heather Fell, who is competing nationally in modern pentathlon, took part in the shooting, running and swimming phases and won best shoot and best swim.

Tom Campbell and Josh Bancroft who competed in the junior boys? class on the Saturday won best run and best swim respectively.
