ONLY a brilliant goalkeeping display kept the score to 2-1 as Bere outplayed Camelford for long periods in conditions that worsened as the game progressed.

The second half was all Bere and it was only time until Hann got onto a through-ball to drive home.

More good keeping, the upright and dogged defending kept Bere at bay.

Camelford?s goal was the result of keeper Diegnan coming to clear a long Camelford ball upfield. His clearance was hit back past him from the halfway line and landed with him stranded on the 18-yard line.

This spurred Bere on. They bombarded the Camelford goal.

Camelford?s keeper made his only error with time running out as he fumbled a corner and goal poacher Hann reacted quickly to score the winner.

This Saturday away to Delabole, Duchy Division B kick-off 2pm.

Reserves, home to Edgcumbe in Duchy Division 4 east, kick-off 2.30pm.

LAMERTON travelled to near neighbours Bere Alston in search of more league points following the previous week?s cup exploits.

In misty conditions and with the pitch better than could be expected the visitors got off to an excellent start when Steve Wickett squared the ball for Kev Fedrick to run in.

Shortly afterwards Fedrick returned the favour to give Wickett his first and the striker had scored a hat-trick within 20 minutes, the home defence looking very square at that stage.

When Kev Swift made it five halfway through the first half a rout looked on the cards but the home side had other ideas. Rather than dropping their heads they came back strongly and with the defence tightened up were the better side for the rest of the half.

The second half was a fairly even affair, the only difference between the teams being the quality of finishing. Wickett bagged his fourth when having been put through by Rich Downing he rounded the keeper an scored from a narrow angle.

Towards the end Fedrick converted his second hat-trick in consecutive games with two quality finishes.

This Saturday home to Callington, league, kick-off 2.30pm.
