THE Bedford Hotel has underlined its support for the annual Tavistock Festival by presenting a cheque to the festival’s operating fund.

Tavistock Festival is a registered charity which will celebrate its 15th birthday in 2018. Its aim is to bring music of all genres and art and literary workshops and lectures to Tavistock in the period after Easter each year.

Festival chairman Christopher Kirwin commented:  ‘We were delighted that The Bedford Hotel not only kindly hosted a number of festival events again this year, but also chose to make a donation from the ticket sales.’

Mike Coombes, sales and marketing manager for Warm Welcome Hotels which includes The Bedford commented: ‘The Tavistock Festival is a key feature in the growing calendar of superb events here in Tavistock.  Quality events such as this are such an important factor in bringing new visitors to our town, as well as providing great experiences for local residents.’

The next Tavistock Festival takes place in late April/early May 2018, coming to its conclusion around the May Day Bank Holiday.
