OKEHAMPTON started well with the forwards dominating the set-piece, Mark Curtis at No 8 making some fine drives up the pitch.
The inclusion of Colts Martin, Woollams, Dutfield, Young and Shields added pace to the game. The front row controlled the scrums with Dutfield at prop proving he could handle the promotion to senior level with ease.
Wadebridge were first to score with an unconverted try, but the Okes made much ground from loose play. Captain Evan Rees kicked a penalty into the strong wind and this was soon followed by a try from Hoggins, at centre, converted by Rees to put the Okes in the lead.
The remainder of the game saw some excellent defence from the backs to keep Wadebridge out. In the closing stages substitutes Andy Ewen and Martin White came on to provide the team with both the younger Colt players and older veterans playing side by side.
