Walkham Valley v TACC
LAST week Walkham Valley Cricket Club were at home to TACC.
Walkham won the toss and elected to bat and proceeded to amass a club record score for a 20 over match of 155 runs.
Berry R, Hills, Ralph and Berry J all retired after making 25+ runs each but the most outstanding batting performance was by Vincent who only faced 6 balls.
He hit the first 5 for a total of 22 runs before being bowled by McGee.
There then followed a batting collapse by Walkham with 5 wickets falling for a total of 10 runs.
Roger Smith had the best TACC bowling figures with 3 for 20.
TACC opening batsmen put up a sterling fight but some outstanding bowling and fielding by Walkhampton meant that the result was never in doubt.
Baxter with 3 for 3 and Hills 1 for 2 were the top bowlers. John Berry, fielding at extra cover was the most outstanding fielder with three superb diving catches, the best that has been seen all season.
