A BARN dance has been organised by London Marathon entrant Jo Clue to raise funds for the Samaritans.

Jo is a veterinary nurse at Westmoor Vets in Tavistock and will be running the marathon later this month for the first time.

The family event on April 13 from 6pm to 8.30pm at the Great Barn, Buckland Abbey, will feature a live band playing with a caller to help everyone get the moves right.

A recent bake sale raised £160 which was a massive boost to Jo's fundraising efforts. She has to raise £2,000 for the charity to take part in the marathon.

Tickets for the barn dance are £5 for adults and £3 for children and are available through Jo on 07792 268384 or on the door. Westmoor vets are supporting the event.
