A HOG roast and an afternoon of fun will help to celebrate the centenary year of Northlew Village Silver Band on Saturday, June 25.
The band was established in 1911 and is the last surviving village band in Devon.
Neighbouring bands have been invited to join the afternoon of music and fun in the playing field at Northlew, or in the Victory Hall in the event of inclement weather.
The event, which starts at 2.30pm, is free to attend and there will be attractions for all ages.
An appeal has been made for anyone with photographs of the band at different events in and around the village to lend them for an exhibition to be mounted on the same day.
All enquiries and offers of assistance to Martin Perry, chairman, on 01409 221376.
