A total of 300 balloons were released from Hatherleigh square recently in aid of the town's Adventure Island play park. The great balloon race was sponsored by James Hull Dental Care, and saw £620 raised. On October 25 a jumble sale is being held at Hatherleigh Community Centre from 10am to noon in aid of the Adventure Island Play Park.
