SEVERAL Kelly College athletes took part in the Devon Schools Cross Country Running Championships on Saturday at Staddiscombe Playing Fields in Plympton. The races for the various age-groups were held on mainly flat courses that were made very difficult by the wet underfoot conditions. The Kelly runners were representing Plymouth and West Devon and their results in the various age-groups were as follows: Minor Boys: Sam Straughan 10th, Cameron Carpenter Warren 17th. Intermediate Girls: Emma Passmore 22nd. Intermediate Boys: Alex Richards 16th. Senior Girls: Sophie Reynolds: 3rd. Sam, Alex and Sophie will go on to represent Devon in the South West Schools Championships, to be held in Avon on Saturday, February 5.
