A BIT late in the day, but I really want to praise the recent production of Oliver! at Okehampton's Charter Hall.

Thank you Courtenay Arts, one and all, for a fabulous evening's entertainment last Saturday week. With such a wealth of talent it would be wrong to single out anyone.

They were all fabulous, front and back stage. It was great to see some of the original group (now slightly more mature) still taking part. My Glaswegian friend was amazed at the superb quality of the whole production — 'as good as Broadway' was repeated several times, not lightly as she stays in Manhattan twice a year, and has done for some 15 years, seeing many of the Broadway shows.

Finally I am so glad that the fabulous felon Fagin now has gainful employment with Royal Mail ! Congratulation to his son, Ebbie, who played Artful Dodger on the Saturday. He was recently successful at audition for the National Youth Theatre. What a family!

Looking forward to the next show
