WINKLEIGH horse breeder Jana Khayat has earned a Higher First premium at the Baileys Horse Feeds/British Equestrian Federation Futurity evaluations with her filly foal AS Bewitched.

The evaluation series aims to identify British bred potential sport horses and ponies, destined for careers in dressage, eventing, show-jumping or endurance.

AS Bewitched was the highest scoring eventing foal of the day. She took a score of 8.86 and a Higher First premium, which indicates that she has the potential and outlook to perform at national level.

Jana said: 'AS Bewitched is very bright and we bred her as an event horse. We will keep her until she is three and then break her in and then probably look for an eventing home to sell her to.'
