TOMORROW night (Friday) The Wharf will be playing host to Welsh prog rockers Multi-Story — a band who’ve been around in various forms since the 1980s.
Fans of the band will be pleased to discover that Multi-Story will be playing a varied selection of material from both their early albums East West and Through Your Eyes, along with most of the new material from Crimson Stone, their latest album.
The five piece – that’s Paul Ford on vocals and acoustic, Rob Wiltshire on keys, Aedan Neal electric/guitars, Jordon Neale drums and Kyle Jones bass guitar, started their careers when they were invited up to the BBC Maida Vale studio in London to record a session for Tommy Vance’s Radio One Rock Show. Three tracks were recorded, Ahead Of Your Time, I Marcus and The Willow And The Sun. The session was then broadcast on the show a few weeks later and has subsequently been repeated.
On Saturday night fans of Ritchi Blackmore will be in guitar heaven with The Blackmore Legacy. The band was formed in 2014 from the remnants of Rainbow Rising and has been built around guitarist Barry Sharples who has an almost unnatural ability to recreate the Blackmore sound and style on stage with breath taking accuracy – expect to be taken on a nostalgia trip back through the music of Rainbow and Deep Purple!
Tickets and info for both shows can be obtained from the box office on 01822 611166 or bought online from www.wegottickets.com/tavistockwharf
