THE Drawn to the Valley project brings together artists and craftspeople from across the Tamar Valley and now people can visit the artists during the Open Season which runs from September 3 to 11. The aims of the group are to promote art within the area for the benefit of both the public and the artists by putting on a series of exhibitions culminating in an Open Studios event. As a result of last year?s successes the group has grown to more than 80 members ranging from painters and printmakers to ceramicists, sculptors and textile artists. A new artistic community is growing within the Tamar Valley area and Plymouth. During the forthcoming Open Studios the public is invited to visit the studios and other venues where the work of the artists can be appreciated. More information on the artists can be obtained by visiting their website: http://www.drawntothevalley.co.uk">www.drawntothevalley.co.uk Free directories to guide you around all venues are available in local libraries, tourist offices and some retail outlets.
