CALSTOCK Hall is the venue for Chicago-based band Birds of Chicago tomorrow (Friday) who as well as filling big venues in the US have also grown fond of touring in the UK too.

With roots in Americana and blues, drawing heavily on the gospel tradition, Birds of Chicago have a sound that demands to be experienced live.

Calstock has witnessed their evolution: First as Po’Girl with Alli Russell and Awna Texeira in 2010 then JT and The Clouds in February 2011 followed by PoGirl with JT in the band in September 2011. In 2013 Birds of Chicago (Alli and JT) played at Cotehele now they are back as a four piece band. Don’t miss it.
