DISPLAYING his passion for Allis Chalmers tractors was Brentor farmer Bill Crocker.

It was the first time that Bill had brought along a tractor at the Devon County Show but he is no stranger to such events as he and his tractor have been to many agricultural shows and rallies throughout Devon and Cornwall.

Bill, (pictured) who has beef and sheep herds at Valley View Farm, Woodlands near Brentor, is pictured by his Allis Chalmers D12, 20 horsepower tractor, which was built in France in 1958. The machine came from Jersey before it came to Devon in 2000.

Allis Chalmers must be something of a favourite with Bill, because apart from the D12, he also has a collection of 10 others of the same make, ranging in years from 1937 to 1964.
