Tavistock Town Council has shown its support for local community groups during another busy week — here are the big stories in today’s Tavistock Times.

• Several organisations in Tavistock have been given a financial boost from Tavistock Town Council grant funding — totalling almost £12,000.

• A staggering £8,523.61 was raised this year thanks to the Horn of Plenty’s charity lunches in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support at Derriford Hospital.
