FLOWERS and weddings will take centre stage at Gunnislake Festival next week along with arts and music events and a fun finale for the family. A flower festival and a display of wedding dresses will be held in St Anne?s Church while next door in the church hall the festival group of artists will display a range of talent. Artists under the age of 14 have a special section in the open art exhibition in the the Buccaneer public house and a local history exhibition will be held in the public hall. Experts will be on hand to help people make a start on their family history in the Oasis Centre and the village pubs will be offering live music events over the four days of the festival which starts on Wednesday (August 1). On Saturday (August 4) the main car park and the Orchard will be closed to make way for all the fun of the fair, with stalls of all kinds, fancy dress parade, bouncy castle, face-painting and live music featuring the Calstock Rubber band, Yorky and the Crusade Fellowship Gospel Choir.
