TASTY treats, cookery demonstrations and other wares will be on offer at Dingles Food Festival this weekend.

Against the backdrop of the Fairground Heritage Centre near Lifton, the festival will feature some of the finest artisan products from across Devon and Cornwall.

Ice-cream, cider, cheese, bread, pies, preserves, chutney and cakes will be among the products on offer on more than 20 stalls.

There will also be cookery demonstrations by chefs from local restaurants.

The festival takes place on Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27 from 10am.

Instead of the usual £8 admission fee into the working fairground museum, a special fee of £3 will be required for entry to the festival, which will go to the Children's Hospice South West. Children enter free.

The fairground centre will also be playing host to CBBC's 'Dick and Dom's Hoopla', filming for the children's programme from June 23 to July 7, featuring celebrity guests and circus acts.
