Wartime letters inspire Okehampton writer's novelThe event, on the village sports field, starts at noon and includes live music, a family dog show and stalls to browse as well as the ubiquitous and ever-popular children?s pony rides and bouncy castle.
If the family dog is a prize contender then it can be entered into the dog show at 2.30pm.
The fayre will also see raffle tickets on sale for the draw at the evening?s Summer Fayre dance with prizes including £100, meals at the Dartmoor Inn, Castle Inn and Fox and Hounds Hotel and tickets for attractions across the region.
The event is the result of hard work by the sports field committee who have set their sights on refurbishing the village?s diapidated sports pavilion.
Admission to the fayre is 50p for adults, 25p for children.The dance starts at 9pm in the Nicholls Hall and tickets cost £5 on the door.
