NEW recycling containers are being delivered this month as part of the changes to Cornwall's waste collection service, which begin on April 2.

Cornwall Council, working with Cory Environmental, will begin delivering reusable boxes and bags for the new kerbside recycling collection service, starting in East Cornwall. 

Everyone who currently uses disposable bags to recycle will receive three reusable bags for plastic bottles and cans, paper and cardboard.

Residents will receive a black recycling box for glass and textiles, a blue reusable sack for paper, a red reusable sack for cans and plastic bottles and an orange reusable sack for cardboard. 

This will replace the current system of different coloured disposable plastic sacks.
