PLYMOUTH Albion's high-flying winger Lee Robinson was the guest of honour at Tavistock College Rugby Club's presentation evening last week.

Robinson joined the event following a fantastic match at the Mennaye Field the previous afternoon, in which the winger scored his first National League hat-trick during Albion's emphatic win over Penzance-Newlyn.

In presenting the awards to Tavistock College's budding young rugby stars, he congratulated them on their successes this season, particularly the Ur14 side which just lost in a thrilling Devon cup final to Kelly College.

The players' awards were as follows:

U12 XV, clubman of the year, Gareth Puttock; player of the year, Miles Ross.

U13 XV, clubman of the year, Freddie Thompson; player of the year, Josh O'Neil.

U14 XV, clubman of the year, Mark Kerswill; player of the year, Jake Chinn.

U15 XV, clubman of the year, Tom Friend; player of the year, Tom Honey.

U16 XV, player of the year, James Hobbs.

1st XV, scorer of most tries, Alex Brown; scorer of most points, Mark Hennessey; most improved player, Pete Richardson; forward of the year, Chris Morton; player of the year, Joel Smith; trainer of the year, Mark Hennessey; most promising newcomer, Ben Schutt; tackler of the year, Alex Brown; clubman of the year, Joel Smith.
