I SHOULD like to say a resounding thank you for the wonderful sum of £1,660 that you all so kindly raised for the Arran Tomes Support Fund.

They say that community spirit is dead, but certainly not in the Bere Peninsula.

A lot of you will know Mike, but many won't. The kindness and support that has been shown to the family, has been unbelievable and I can't thank you all enough.

Arran is progressing slowly but he spends more time in hospital than out.

To all of you who managed to get to the cup cake afternoon, what a happy time we had, sitting in the garden, catching up with old friends and watching the children play.

Grateful thanks go to Dawn and Sandra for working so hard, to everyone who made delicious cup cakes, donated raffle prizes, helped on the day and gave donations.
