Okehampton Cup quarter-final
Okehampton Argyle 3
Chagford 0
OKEHAMPTON cruised into the semi-finals with this comfortable win over their South Devon Premier League opponents.
Argyle were always in control — building from a solid defensive platform they were able to capitalise on their possession and territorial advantages.
They scored twice in the first half through Adam Mortimer and Ian Gill, both converting from low right and left foot crosses respectively. The expected onslaught in the second half from Chagford never materialised as Argyle continued to dominate but found it hard to break through a resolute defence.
Despite the incessant pressure in which Okehampton passed the ball with confidence they could not find the killer ball to beat, at times, a ten-man defence.
Argyle eventually sealed the win through Neil Agnew, scoring against his old club although the goal had a touch of good fortune. His cross from the left was too deep but it completely caught the keeper out, to drop into the far corner of the net.
Team: S Tolley, S Ausden, N Drew, S Cann, K Gill, M Burdus, A Margrie, N Agnew, N Vernon, I Gill, A Mortimer. Subs: L Reddington, M Vernon, J Back.
This week sees Okehampton travel to Hatherleigh for a local derby which takes on even more significance given the league positions of the two clubs. Kick-off 2.30pm.

Feniton 1
THIS was a drab encounter which neither side deserved to win, but Feniton snatched all three points in the 90th minute. Argyle failed to defend at a corner and Dean Goddard stole in at the far post to plant a header into the corner of the net.
Okehampton's best chance came two minutes into the second-half. Ian Gill rose at the near post to head a Neil Agnew corner goal-wards. That effort was cleared off the line only to fall at Gill's feet whose snap shot was also cleared off the line.
