PARENTS and carers of young children can find out about support available at Okehampton Show on August 10. Staff from Devon County Council?s Early Years and Childcare Services will be on board the Devon in Touch mobile information vehicle, helping parents find childcare through DISC, answering questions about working with children and explaining the training opportunities available. Employers can also be helped with advice on how to support work-life balance for their staff, from childcare vouchers to setting up a workplace nursery. It will also provide an opportunity for parents and carers to pass on their views to the county council about how they would like to see children?s services develop.
